Some enterprising UT students-turned-news hounds hit the streets with a video camera shortly after it was announced Lane Kiffin is leaving Tennessee after just 14 months on the job. Both THIS VIDEO and THIS VIDEO show students were somewhat pissed off but mostly enjoying the break from the routine of studying. (Visit GoVolsXtra to see a list of additional videos).
Say what you will about Kiffin, once again he has all the sports talk and television shows talking about Tennessee. I guess we shouldn't be surprised he's done this given his lightening-rod reputation.
My favorite headline from this fiasco so far is this one from GoVolsXtra: "Lane Kiffin's announcement surprised even those who'd seen it all."
I have one question for Lane -- when you go to LA, can you please leave Layla Kiffin behind in Knoxville? She by far turned out to be the best thing about the past 14 months of the Kiffin administration at Tennessee.
Finally, I'd like tothank the makers of the Thermo Toilet for this image. Thought it's made to keep your butt warm, it clearly doubles as a mug shot for CLK. (I see a definite resemblance). Maybe UT could use it in place of Lane's pic in future press releases.
