The nation's government and commerce centers will close. Airports will be shut down. Restaurants will have no diners. Yet houses of worship, the beaches and national parks will be full.
All of this will occur on Jan. 14, the one-year anniversary of the Big Orange Vehicle Blog. So mark your calendars, shop ahead and plan your parties.
In the meantime, enjoy these two decidedly different OVs from decidedly different parts of the country. The sportster up top comes from my bud Logan Lark from Tennessee undergrad days. He spotted it up around the Delaware Shore. The pickup comes from James Rink, a faithful BOVB reader who's opening up the photo pipeline from Coffee County, Tenn.

Cool man, but I swear I'm going to get you a picture of some of the very weird heavy machinery the local government hired with federal bailout money to REPLACE our entire boardwalk. Vehicles like I've never seen before, and somemetimes, they are orange.
